Stanley Omah Didia known by his stage name ‘Omah Lay’ revealed a shocking assumption he had about his colleague, Davido. He took to his Twitter page to say he thought Davido didn’t like him.

However, his tweet came after Davido recently spoke about his love for Omah Lay with the American content creator, Kai Cenat who came to Nigeria.

Davido, in a live video, entertained Cenat with Omah Lay’s song “Reason” as they were leaving the club to go to Obi’s House.

Importantly, he drew Cenat’s attention to the song, saying 

“Listen to this. This is Omah Lay”.

In response, Cenat praised the super star singer, saying

 “ Omah Lay, I am scared of you bro”.

Few hours after the live video circulated the internet, Omah Lay took to his ‘X’ page to tweet;

“I’ve always thought Davido Hated me”

However, this revelation of Omah Lay brought about different questions as netizens enquired why he believed Davido hated him.

Omah Lay the Nigerian singer born 19th May 1997, is a Nigerian singer, producer and songwriter. He started out his musical career in a rap group under the stage name “Lil King”, he also wrote songs and produced songs.

Later, he released his song ‘Do not disturb’ in April 2019 and another song titled ‘Hello brother’.

Similarly, he received recognition in 2020 for his single ‘Bad Influence’ which was the most streamed Nigerian song on Apple Music.

The singer is signed to KeyQaad music label ever since. He has gotten so many recognitions and awards alike.

Also, few weeks ago, Omah Lay got entangled in a controversy during the Eventim Apollo in London, While performing the song “Bend you”, he invited a female fan who had attended the show together with her boyfriend to the stage, their dance took an intimate turn.  This invoked criticisms from netizens, questioning Omah Lay’s morality.

Moreover, The lady’s boyfriend was seen leaving the show in utter disappointment and unhappiness. This lead to numerous argument among the viewers.

In conclusion,  people seldomly make assumptions from nothing. 

What could have transpired between the singers, to make Omah Lay hold the though that Davido didn’t like him?
