Recitation is a movie produced by Mount Zion Film Production, directed and written by Damilola Mike Bamiloye, this movie is centered around a stammerer who had to prepare for a recitation that would require him to recite 50 verses in 5 minutes, the movie features the winlos, Pastor Anwinli and Ohis Muyiwa Ojeikere who are popular for their gospel comedy skits, Mrs. Darasimi Mike Bamiloye and the lead actor Femi Omidiwura
This is the second Mount Zion movie that features a child as its lead actor, the first was Apoti Eri (The Ark of God)
The school used in the movie also happened to be the secondary school of the producer himself, Oritamefa Baptist Model School in Oyo state, The producer said he got the inspiration for the movie from a bible quiz that happened at Glory Tabernacle ministries.
The movie is 87 mins long and has over 750, 000 views on youtube and counting since it was released on April 9th, 2023.
There are so scenes that really captured the attention of the viewers, one of them was the recitation of the lead actor, Testimony which was played by Femi, many viewers have confirmed how they wept at that scene while others spoke of how it moved them to pray.
This is a movie that is worth watching with your teenage children, enlightening us on how much we need to train our children in the way of the Lord and have faith in God especially in the midst of storms and doubts.
