The two women were previously associated with the same social circle and appeared together on The Real Housewives of Lagos. Their relationship, however, has now become the subject of intense discussion after Diiadem publicly alleged that Dabota once sent her ₦5 million as a birthday gift but subsequently asked her to return the money; Diiadem said she returned it.

Dabota, however, disputed the way the story was presented and responded with her own version, challenging Diiadem to tell the public everything she allegedly did for her during their friendship. She subsequently alleged that Dabota asked her to return the money.

Diiadem said she complied and sent the money back.

BERBIE FIRES BACK

Berbie said she had remained silent for years but felt compelled to speak because of what was being said about her.

She described Diiadem as a “terrible friend” and accused her of allegedly not wanting other women around her to shine.

In a social-media response, Berbie challenged Diiadem to deny the allegations first before attempting to tell a different version of their friendship.

One of the clearest lines attributed to Berbie was “You were a terrible friend to me.”

She also argued that Diiadem had benefited from her support during their friendship; Berbie’s account suggests that the problems between them were not simply one disagreement but developed from what she regarded as a pattern of behaviour.

 

BERBIE’S BIGGER ACCUSATION

The most damaging part of Berbiedoll’s intervention was her suggestion that Diiadem allegedly had a problem with other women succeeding.

The accusation echoed one of the themes already emerging in the Dabota-Diiadem dispute: competition between women who operate within the same social and business circles, Berbie’s position appeared to be that she had supported Diiadem, but eventually became a target once their relationship deteriorated.

Businesswoman Ehi Ogbebor became involved for a completely different reason.

Her name surfaced when Dabota accused Diiadem of having a relationship with businessman Olakunle Churchill, who was previously married to actress Tonto Dikeh.

Dabota alleged that Diiadem had travelled to Abuja and soon afterwards was publicly displaying affection with Churchill.

She also alleged that she had processed visas for Diiadem and Churchill for a trip to Bali.

Diiadem did not deny knowing Churchill. Instead, she gave a different explanation for how Churchill became connected to the women.

 

DIIADEM’S VERSION: “HE REJECTED YOUR FRIEND EHI”

Diiadem’s response was that Dabota was not telling the complete story.

She said she had never denied knowing Churchill and alleged that Churchill had rejected Dabota’s friend, Ehi Ogbebor.

Diiadem claimed that Dabota had spent considerable time trying to facilitate a relationship between Churchill and Ehi.

A report quoting Diiadem’s response described her position as “I never denied knowing Churchill; he rejected your friend, Ehi.”

Diiadem also alleged that Dabota had attempted to introduce her to other men and had sent pictures of her to men in circumstances she portrayed as financially motivated. That was the moment Ehi became directly involved.

 

EHI DID NOT TAKE THE CLAIM LIGHTLY

Ehi Ogbebor subsequently reacted angrily in a voice note that circulated online.

In the recording attributed to her, Ehi addressed Diiadem directly and reminded her of how they had known each other.

One reported excerpt begins “Deola, have you forgotten how I met you 13 years ago?”

Ehi went on to reference events from their early relationship and made allegations about Diiadem’s past.

The central message from Ehi appeared to be a warning “Do not drag me into the fight.”

Ehi’s response indicated that she believed Diiadem had crossed a line by bringing her name into the Churchill controversy.

She reportedly questioned Diiadem about their long history and referenced circumstances surrounding how they first met.

Her anger suggested that she did not see herself as a neutral spectator.

She considered herself someone whose own history with Diiadem could be discussed if Diiadem continued mentioning her.

 

DIIADEM RESPONDS TO EHI

Instead of ignoring the voice note, Diiadem shared portions of Ehi’s response publicly.

She continued defending her original position. Diiadem maintained that she had not falsely claimed not to know Churchill.

Her argument was that Dabota’s version left out the circumstances involving Ehi.

Diiadem also accused Dabota of speaking negatively about Tonto Dikeh.

She alleged that Dabota had called Tonto names and repeatedly expressed dislike for the actress. Those allegations are disputed and have not been independently verified.

Dabota also claimed that she had processed visas for Diiadem and Churchill for a trip to Bali.

She further questioned Diiadem’s decision to allegedly attend Churchill’s son’s birthday while maintaining a relationship with his former wife.

These are serious claims concerning private relationships and should remain attributed to Dabota rather than presented as established fact.

 

DIIADEM’S VERSION IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT

Diiadem’s response essentially turned Dabota’s accusation back on her.

She said she had never denied knowing Churchill. Instead, she alleged that Dabota herself had been trying to connect Churchill with Ehi.

Diiadem’s argument was therefore: If Dabota knew about Churchill and had been involved in trying to connect him with Ehi, why was she now presenting Diiadem’s relationship with him as though it were a secret? That is Diiadem’s position and it remains contested.

 

THE TONTO DIKEH ANGLE

Diiadem also alleged that Dabota had spoken badly about Tonto Dikeh.

According to Diiadem, Dabota had allegedly called Tonto names and told her not to visit Tonto in Abuja.

Diiadem therefore suggested that Dabota’s current presentation of herself as someone concerned about loyalty to Tonto was inconsistent with how she had allegedly spoken about the actress privately.
