A grieving father, Samuel Adun, has offered to pay the sum of N100,000 to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of his son-in-law, identified simply as Inuaghata, who is said to have killed his pregnant wife Osaretin.

 

In an interview with reporters in Benin City, capital of Edo state, on Friday June 9, Adun said that on May 24 he received a frantic phone call from some people claiming the suspect had his daughter killed.

 

“I am from Orhionmwon Local Government. My daughter was killed by her husband. He was 23 years old. The incident happened on May 24 in Egba. I don’t understand your problem that led to my daughter’s death.

 

They called and told me that my daughter had been killed. He used a knife on himself! his throat burned. She was pregnant when she was killed. I want to stop the boy.

The Family

 

I will give anyone N100,000 naira for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. The guy is not officially married to my daughter. His parents are both confused. I called her brother who ran away after killing my daughter. he said.

 

After contacting Edo State Police Headquarters spokesman Chidi Nwabuzor, he said the matter had not yet been reported to the police.
