An 18-year-old boy, whose name was given as Kingsley Akpobome Emobor, confessed to killing his mother and sleeping with her corpse for two nights to perform a money ritual.
Samuel, an indigenous person from Oghara, Delta State, committed the crime in a rented dwelling in Ologbo Township, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, Edo State.
Speaking to reporters as he marched past Edo State Police Headquarters, Samuel said he was tricked into committing the act by a ritualist who sells drugs in the community.
On his ordeal: “I wanted to use my mother for a ritual.I am 18 years old. My father died a long time ago. It was a man named One Love who told me to use my mom for a money ritual.
He promised to give me ₦50,000 if I can! Ask my mother and sleep with her too, then take her private parts. He told me to cut open the skin around his private parts and take it for ritual purposes.
