ASSUMPTION (WHAT REALLY IS IT)

Assumption is accepting a thing as true or certain to happen without proof or verification.

Assumption is not Faith because Faith is based on an evidence (which is not seen yet, could be an inner voice, an impression in your heart, A strong conviction or words heard from the pastor or read from a holy book)

Faith comes by hearing or believing in the supernatural while assumption comes by guessing

Years ago, people assumed the world was flat (until certain sailors didn’t fall off as assumed) that God doesn’t exist, Jesus was a made up history, and it’s not so bad to assume.

Because in the science realm, assumptions are also called hypotheses, while faith can be seen in certain laws like the law of attraction, law of reciprocity, etc

Faith often comes from experiences beyond the human explanation, A miracle, sign and wonders, vision, dream or an encounter with a extra terrestrial being.

Now I really do not want to limit faith to religion because one can have faith in one’s self or an idea, a person, a dream

And most times your faith might seem to be an assumption in the eyes of another and there’s nothing wrong in that, people are entitled to believe what they want to believe.

However those who believe in our faith in certain things should be cherished because they had a choice not to but decided to.

Now before you do any stuff or take that risk or irrational decision, you must ask yourself, is this an assumption because walking in faith comes with its PEACE

Like the purpose of that decision must be known and approved by your heart, (Your mind might fight it)

The real problem is that assumption kills while faith saves and there is a thin line between the two. I’ve seen people assume that a career was for them, and regret later

Seen people that assume divine health and later got sick.

In the military, there’s this slogan I love. “If you’re there, you’re there. It’s one movement”

It’s either you have faith or assumption. There’s no in between. And the proof of faith is a manifestation provided you were patient ENOUGH, because speed is not an advantage if you’re running in the wrong direction.

Peace Itimi said “know the path you have chosen to follow, what is required of you and let your understanding of it fuel the decisions you make”

Sometimes assumptions do come out okay, you can cal it luck, fortune or perharps your assumptions were right.

But which would you prefer. To be sure or to guess?
