So you just learnt a new skill, or acquired a certificate or even a degree. Congratulations dear, but don’t go telling people you’re an expert in that skill, not yet because of expertise is a mixture of certain variables of which experience happens to be part of.
You don’t need to be waiting for experience to come from heaven, you volunteer for it, some call it internship, no one would call you to be their intern, the most they would do is to create an advert for one, you are the one who would reach out to them, apply for it and become it.
No one truly rejects value, same way a company won’t see a better candidate and hire less, unless of course that company doesn’t want to be fair.
It is in the place of volunteering that people would learn what works for them and what doesn’t. While volunteering, you learn how the system works, time management, how best to beat deadlines as well as the networking.
Let’s assume that you are working as an intern for a company, you get to know certain persons, like the hiring manager, when best to send them mails, the best form of communication to use.
Most times when people are called to volunteer in one way or the other, they flee from the responsibilities. I remember how I became close to our project supervisor because I volunteered to be the project leader in a team of four persons.

Let your little light of yours shine first in front of your family, friends, your colleagues, your workplace and place of worship and before you know it, it starts attracting Kings.
