Peter Obi, PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Shetima, and others attend NBA Conference in Lagos on Monday.
The Nigerian Bar Association hosted its 2022 conference on Monday, 22nd August, in Lagos, while having the 2023 Presidential candidates in attendance.
Mr Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate for the Labour Party and Mr Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the People’s Democratic Party were seen present at the conference.
It was gathered that the NBA had invited other candidates, however, Mr Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress and Mr Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People Party couldn’t confirm their attendance at the NBA Conference.
While Mr Tinubu was absent, his vice presidential candidate, Mr Kassim Shetima was also seen present at the conference.
The Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mr Dumebi Kachikwu and that of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Mr Prince Adewole Adebayo, were also not left out…as they were in attendance.
The theme for the 2022 NBA Annual Conference is “Bold Transitions” and it is being held at Eko Atlantic City until the 26th of August.
A lot has been said about the conference, as the majority of the Nigerian Population on Twitter and other social media made political yet funny comments about the presidential candidates at the conference.
One of these talks focuses on how other presidential candidates were placing blame on the past government and present government for the poor situation of the country while Mr Peter Obi talked more about the way to resurrect the fallen economy and living standard of the nation.
Furthermore, a funny challenge has broken out among Nigerians on Twitter where they mimic the funny sitting position and posture of Mr Kassim Shetima, the vice presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress.
From the picture circulating across the internet, Mr Kassim Shetima seemed to be wearing a shabby-looking suit with a seemingly long tie.
While the online community mimics him, they also ask different questions as to why he was sitting like that and also his shabby-looking suit.
Many Nigerians are curious as to what could have kept Mr Ahmed Tinubu the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress Party who is a Lagos residence from attending the conference.
