MY REVIEW OF THE MOVIE KING RICHARD

King Richard is a movie that is focused on Mr Richard Williams, the father of the two prodigies, Venus and Serena Williams. Will Smith did a great job acting the role of Mr Williams.

It’s really great to see how he predicted that his children were going to be the best in world and it came out alright. The plan he had for them even before they were born is really amazing and the faith he had is impressive.

I loved Oracene also, he faith and dedication to provide for the family financially while Richard left his job to focus on coaching his children full time also she had to train herself just so that she could be a better tennis player to her children, it just shows how much sacrifice she made to make sure her children were champions. I loved how she told Richard to always put the family into check before making decisions that would affect the family’s future especially that of Venus.

The Cinderella movie scene was just hilarious, but he was trying to make them not look down on other competitors effort. That you’re a winner doesn’t mean your opponent didn’t give their best. There are better ways to say what you want to say without hurting your opponent or intimidating them.

Alot of people missed out on Serena, how could I, I really want to say that she’s my hero, it takes alot to stay in the shadows and see your entire family focus on one sibling when you both started the journey together. I loved that she was jealous but so happy for her sister, I loved that though she didn’t let her envy get the best of her, That is what friends do, they stand by and see their friends win.

Venus too, always supported her sister, we could see in the way she was quick to swap her golden trophy for her sister’s silver trophy.

Mr Richard had always planned this from the start, he did not want the stardom and fame to affect his children, while he pushed his children so hard to be champions, he would always make sure they had fun while doing it as well as have a normal life, lick ice-cream, take exams, go to school.

Walking out on a 4 million dollar contract takes faith, especially from a man who came from his background, how he used the fear of what happened to him when he touched a white man to make sure that his children would never ever their dad run away rather than protect them, the protection that made him not allow them to play in the junior circuits,

I loved when the journalist asked Venus about her confidence about winning even when she hasn’t been in a tournament, and Richard asked him how many languages he could speak whereas Venus could speak four.

It’s a movie about a father’s dream and a mother’s sacrifice to see their children succeed in a world that had so much hate in it.
