HOW TO PLAN EFFECTIVELY

planning is making detailed outline of what one expects to do in the future. When planning has to do with money it is called budgeting.

It is very important to make plans for your company, business, family, state or whatever it is that concerns you.

The reason for having a plan is so that people may know what to do and how to go about it even when one isn’t present.

Back then in school, we had a timetable for courses we were to learn for each day, whenever the teachers were unavailable for a particular session,period we would reach out to know why and remind them because there was already an established plan,

Some tertiary institution have outlines to guide the students on what to study, topics to be treated and the sequence on how it would be learnt.

Tools for effective planning.

✓Write down all you hope to achieve, whether in a disorganised form first, just write them down.

You want a Job, a project, some cash, facility because any plan not written down is a wish.

✓ make a scale of preference, let the plan be arranged according to their priority, in the order of their importance and urgency.

You don’t expect to marry a wife before you get a job, do you? You cannot build a facility without acquiring a land.

✓ now focus on the top most plan and break it into sub plans. Let’s assume that what you need first is a Job,

How do I get a Job? Get a CV, join a website or community, study about companies etc.

✓Now take a leap of faith, avoid procastination. Start with what you can do with what is available to you.

✓ Check your plans again with time, Do you need to improvise or improve on it. Which one have you been able to accomplish and lastly get an accountability partner
