Top 10 Tips on Surviving Nightshift • LITFL

The microwave oven hummed,
My crack of dawn coffee is made.
The ground and fields are pallid,
The snowfall has written its page.

Come nights after nights after nights,
In details of tact, toils and tasks.
Sometimes, a husk, hunt and busks,
In defiance of sleep aimed at some dough.

In twelve-hour stands, machines running,
Chiselling and riveting, lifting and loading,
Under the florescent and flash above light,
My blood and muscle run through the night.

Ready to drive home, though,
The night shift was hectic and rough ,
Nevertheless, the hassle day continues,
Inevitably, other tasks, and need still stands.
