President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Maj.Gen. Samuel Adebayo as the new Chief of Defence Intelligence (CDI) Agency and Head of the Defence Intelligence (DIA) Agency in Nigeria.

This was announced in a statement on Saturday via the Nigerian Government’s official Twitter handle.
The statement reads; “President @Mbuhari has appointed Maj.Gen. Samuel Adebayo as Nigeria’s New Chief of Defence Intelligence (CDI) and Head of the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA). He succeeds Air Marshal Muhammed Usman, who recently retired from service.”

Before his appointment, Adebayo Wasa former Director at the DIA and previously served as the Chief Military Intelligence for the Nigerian Army.
