The World Trade Organisation (WTO) is set to name Nigeria’s former Finance Minister, Dr Ngozi Okonjo – Iweala, as it’s Director-General (DG) on Monday February 15.

United States of America endorsed former Nigeria’s Finance Minister following the withdrawal of South Korea’s candidate, Yoo Myung-hee, to head the WTO.
“I look forward to finalizing the process,” Okonjo-Iweala said on February 6 after securing the endorsement from the President Biden administration.
