Omoyele Sowore is a Nigerian human rights activist, pro-democracy campaigner, former presidential candidate, and founder of online news agency Sahara Reporters, On August 3, 2019 Sowore was arrested by Nigeria Department of Security Services for treason allegation after calling for a protest tagged Revolution Now
Omoyele Sowore, distributer of Sahara Reporters, is yet to be discharged from the Department of State Services DSS confinement regardless of satisfying his bail condition, September 25th.
However, his legal advisor, Femi Falana, was at the DSS home office in Abuja to get Sowore after his bail conditions were satisfied however the security operators neglected to discharge him.
Justice Taiwo of the Federal High Court, in Abuja, had on Tuesday September 24th, requested the DSS to discharge the him on bail. The judge solicited that Sowore as part from his bail conditions, present his international ID in court. This was done the day before and a duplicate of a testimony of consistence was stored at the DSS office by Falana.
