Fast X, the tenth film in the Fast & Furious Saga, launches the final chapters of one of cinema’s most storied and popular global franchises, now in its third decade and still going strong with the same core cast and characters as when it began.
Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family have outsmarted, out-nerved and outdriven every foe in their path. Now, they confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced: A terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past who’s fueled by blood revenge, and who is determined to shatter this family and destroy everything—and everyone—that Dom loves, forever.
Below are some of my favourite qoutes from the movie and lessons I got from them
1. ‘It’s okay to be afraid. Sometimes fear can be the best teacher.’ – Dominic Toretto (Fast X)
Dom was telling his son that it’s okay to be afraid, it’s human to be afraid, we aren’t gods
Sometime ago, my mentee reached out to me to ask me how I did things so effortlessly, how I was able to come up with writings so beautiful and captivating.
I replied her that I wrote most of my best piece afraid, most of our best work was created in fear with an iota of faith because we kept believing that deep down we were treasures in earthen vessels.

2. In A World Where There Is No Code, No One Is Safe.”
When there is no boundary or set of rules to Iive by, everyone does what is good in their eyes and let’s hope that their good doesn’t clash with your wrong.
A wise woman said that if the world lived by an eye for an eye, we would all go blind.
Rules were made in the first place for a reason.
3. That’s The Problem With Having Such A Big Family. You can’t save everyone
Honestly I kinda agree with this because having a big family can be too much to handle but having a big family can also be advantageous when you have the right people in your family.
Family must not be related by blood but by bond.
The full quote says
Blood is thicker than water but the blood of covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.
It means or is interpreted that the the relationship we make with people and bond with them is stronger than a relative who hasn’t even shown care for one day
Dom made most of his family from quarrels and argument, the saga had always had an evil villain who somehow became family from Hob, Shaws, Shaw’s sister, Street rivals, most police agents etc
4. You Made One Mistake. You Never Took My Car.”
Here this quote taught me that there is always a way of escape (1 Cor 10:13)
No matter how life knocks you down, there is always something that you can start with, start from, no one is without help, Daddy John Obidi would say that “use what you have because what you have is plenty”
While Booker T. Washington Quote: “Start where you are with what you have,. “Start where you are with what you have, knowing that what you have is plenty enough.”
5. Nothing’s impossible. You just have to have faith.”
Really nothing is impossible if you believe that you can achieve it, to him that believes all things are possible.
No one believed that Metal could float until ship happened, no one believed that men could transport themselves with an air transport until the Wright brothers appeared.
6. Game recognizes game.”
Excellence recognises excellence, Just like genius recognises their own too.
There are times when you meet people and you know that they carry something similar with you, it could your courage, your intellect or even your faith.
7. ‘Without honor, you got no family. And without family, you’ve got nothing.’ – Dominic Toretto (Fast X)
When you have honor, people would flock around to honor you, they would become your family.
When you don’t have a family either by blood or bond, you really won’t accomplish much, each generation has to be better than the last.
Family is how we push ourselves to become better, fathers teaching their sons from the lessons they have learnt and making sure the generation after doesn’t repeat their mistakes
8. Roman: We have done everything we could
Dom: not everything
Sometimes we think we have tried our best but we really haven’t, your best will show up in the results.
You cannot try to make a change without doing something, so if the situation remains the same you really haven’t done everything, you might have done some things but not the right thing.
9. No one starts at the finish line
Here Little D was drifting and wasn’t happy with himself because he wasn’t drifting as good as his dad Dom
His dad taught him a lesson that we sometimes forget, no one starts at the finish line, you can’t try it the first time and always turn out excellent.
Excellence is the finish line not where we start from, and if you think you did it excellently, you might need to check again or try again.
10. It is time to step out of the shadow, thank you for shining the light.
Many people might not know the standard until you show up, you are the light that someone needs to see to become brighter.
I used to think the moon had its own light but the moon stays in the shadows and shines its light by reflecting the light of the sun.
