The ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner, Ayodeji Balogun AKA WizKid and the ‘Unavailable’ song hit super star David Adeleke AKA Davido have been trolling each other on the internet since Monday Night.
What started out as an ordinary tweet turned into an online battle between WizKid FC and 30 Billion Gang.
The saga sparked up when Wizkid threw a shade at Davido. A fan of WizKid requested for a new song via an X account, in response WizKid posted a controversial alleged video of Davido, which had previously made rounds online. In the video, a man who seemed like Davido was believed to be begging a female associate.
Alongside the video, WizKid tweeted that the fan had to beg the way the supposed man in the video was begging, before he would grant the fan’s wish to release a new song.
However, Davido, on Monday night dropped a series of cryptic tweets believed to be responses to the Ojuelegba crooner.
The tweet from Davido reads;
“Dem no know your Gbedu”,
Netzens believed the tweet was a response to WizKid’s shade.
Furthermore, Davido made another tweet saying;
“When light comes, darkness vanishes. Let get active.”
WizKid made a post late Monday night at 11;08pm, which was believed to be aimed at Davido.
The tweet reads;
“U know what..no point. delusional niggas pray for y’all.”
However, Davido was quick to respond saying at 11:12pm,
“We not delusional, You’re a sick man”
WizKid replied with 2 laughing emojis and posted the alleged video of Davido which started the banter in the first place.
Davido then replied,
“That’s what I thought. Nothing to say! Exactly why I stopped wasting my clout and jeopardizing my millions of usd of endorsements on someone whose career was resurrected a few years ago just to die again. NEXT!!”
WizKid made another reply,
“I got nun to say to u my boy! I can retire today and you still not on my level. You be influencer with a song writer. Wish u well,”
Similarly, WizKid also dismissed the successful music producer and label owner Don Jazzy, who has groomed many artists in the music industry in the likes of Tiwa Savage, D’prince, Reekado banks, D’ja, Koredo Bello, REMA and Ayra Starr as an ‘Influencer’.
In response to WizKid calling Don Jazzy an ‘Influencer’, Don Jazzy unfollowed WizKid online.
Also, many celebrities and public figures like Mr Macaroni, BBN Doyin, BBN Tacha and a long list of celebrities condemned WizKid’s outpour on Don Jazzy and asked him to apologise to the Don for disrespecting him.
In the history of Entertainment, it’s a known fact that colleagues use controversies and saga as a form of PR to trend online or rather, chase clout.
