MAKING YOUR BUSINESS CUSTOMER CENTRIC (SIVA MODEL)

We all know the marketing mix popularly known as the 4ps, but what we aren’t aware of is that the 4Ps is brand centric.

If you’re not familiar with the marketing mix, Lemme introduce the marketing mix, distinguished ladies and gentlemen

The marketing mix refers to the set of actions, or tactics, that a company uses to promote its brand or product in the market, so in order to have an effective marketing, a firm or company needs to combine these 4 things appropriately to get the desired result.

They include Price, Place, Product and Promotion.

But with the rise of digital marketing, also came the rise of customer focused services, any brand that wants to be influential must be customer centric after all, it is the customers that decides if the company would be paid, worth advertising to their friends and family, besides people buy extension of themselves

This is why SIVA was developed, SIVA is customer centric and focuses more on the customer than the brand, SIVA is an acronym that stands for Solution, Information, Value and Access.

Solution in place of products, gone are the days when customers were interested in the features of the product, now customers look out for solutions, they don’t care about the colour of the product provided it can solve their problems. So business should focus more on the benefits instead of the features of the product.

Value instead of price

Reducing the price won’t really matter if the solution isn’t valuable, so make people know that the price is an investment, you’re investing a certain amount of money to get a return on investment for the money invested.

Information instead of promotion.

Inform your customers on what they stand to benefit, rather than sell more to them, educate them more about the product, services that they would get from you, that way you make yourself stand out as the authority in their eyes.

People want to buy from credible people and one way to show credibility is by informing them, educating them, showing testimonials of people who have had their experience as well.

Access instead of place

With the emergence of the internet and digital marketing, distance isn’t really a barrier, you don’t need to actually have a place but you need to create access and make yourself accessible to those who need your product, strategically positioned at a place that encourages access to them. So you can do this by having a customer list, and a sales funnel that grants them easy access to you
