Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho on Friday stormed Ibarapa community in Oyo state insisting that all Fulanis leave the community before the end of the day.

Recall Eons Intelligence reported that Sunday Igboho last week issued a 7-day ultimatum to Fulani Herdsmen to vacate the Community or be attacked.

Igboho blamed the Fulanis for the rise in kidnapping and other nefarious activities in the state.

However, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Wednesday opposed Igboho’s directive stating that nobody reserved the right to order anyone out of the state.

The police commissioner of police in Oyo State also issued a statement which aligned with the Governor’s claim. The CP stated that they were ready to ensure adequate security of every law-abiding resident of the state.

Defying both the Governor and the police, Igboho on Friday stormed Ibarapa insisting that all Fulanis must leave today.

Videos captured Igboho backed by the support of a large number of Ibarapa youths going around the community insisting that Fulanis should leave has shown that the activist has refused to back down on his demand.

Although security operatives were present, they looked outnumbered by the youths in the community who were out in large numbers.

ADVISORY: Federal Government and other relevant stakeholders must quickly intervene in the Oyo and Ondo community disputes with Fulani to avoid ethnic clashes across the states in the country.
