Wazobia is a stage play put together by actress and international producer Debora Ewedafe.

It’s a stage play with over 30 cast members about how the whole country of Nigeria can and should come together to make Nigeria a great nation. Instead of using our differences as a tool to divide the country, it should be seen as a strength to lift up the nation.

Wazobia is made up of three words, each of which meansĀ ‘come’ in Yoruba (wa), Hausa (zo), and Igbo (bia), Nigeria’s three largest linguistics groups. It is a popular pidginized reference to Nigeria’s indigenous languages, clothing, foods, and culture in general, viewed as one indivisible whole.

The play will be taking place this Sunday, September 24th, at City PlayHouse Theater (1000 New Westminister Dr, unit 101) vaughan.

Red Carpet starts at 5 pm
