Charles Okocha, famous for his lively and unique way of living, shared some exciting news today, November 5th, 2024, on his official Instagram account. He announced that he is getting married to the love of his life!
In his post, Charles shared some cute photos with his fiancée, showing off their joy and love for each other. He also introduced a special wedding hashtag, “MICHARLES2024,” letting everyone know that their big day will take place this year. This is coming after the actor expressed skepticism about marriage in an interview. He cited the high divorce rate among public figures.

In one of his past interviews Charles Okocha, who is a father to two grown kids from different relationships, shared his thoughts about marriage. He explained that he’s not looking to get married right now because of how things are in his life at the moment. He feels that his current situation doesn’t lend itself well to the idea of tying the knot. His statement highlights the complexities of love and family life today. It seems he’s taking his time to figure things out before making any big decisions.
In his words, “The truth is I have never been married in my life and I am a happy man. You and I know what is going on these days, you see a couple married for a couple of years and next, they are divorced. People you see as role models are getting divorced and when you see them you are like what is going on? These are people you have been looking up to and now they are divorced, how then do you want me to get into this marriage thing?”
Okocha explained that the idea of him not getting married isn’t true, to simply put, he said he definitely plans to get married, especially since his kids are getting older. He feels it’s important to have a partner who can help take care of both their needs and his.
“Some say I am not going to get married. No! Don’t quote me wrong, I am going to get married most definitely, my kids are growing up, and so I need a partner that will be able to take care of their needs and mine. I will get married, but I am just taking my time. I have two beautiful kids; a son and a daughter. At this time I am just focused on taking care of my adorable kids and that’s it, and that’s enough. They are my kids and they keep me motivated.”
He mentioned that his main focus right now is taking care of his son and daughter. He feels that being a good parent is really important and is his biggest responsibility. It means a lot to him to make sure they are happy and well looked after.
