It’s not a good time for popular Nigerian musician, David Adeleke, as known as Davido, as he lost another associate in his camp.
Fortunate Ateumunname Peter but popularly known as Fortune was the Davido Music World (DMW) chief official photographer.
According to sources, the celebrity photographer, who was 24 years old, drowned at a photo shoot location in Lagos, on Tuesday evening. Fortune will be the second close associate of the 30BG leader, who has died this year.
Fortune’s death comes just three months after the death of another close aide to the self-style Omo Baba Olowo (O.B.O) named Habeeb Ademola Uthman, popularly known as Obama DMW, who died as a result of a heart condition.
A check on one of the celebrity’s photographer social media account, Instagram showed that his last post was on his birthday, which was July 10. Also, a check on his personal website, revealed he started out as a graphic designer and evolved from photography to video directing and other forms of motion pictures.
He described himself as a thoroughbred Lagosian, as the Afrocentric and hustling nature of the Lagos life inspired his works.
As Davido’s personal photographer, this accorded him the opportunity to have toured over 50 cities around the world, including the Middle East, United Kingdom, South Africa, and other parts of Africa, spreading his love for his craft and documenting appealing images to the world of art.
Fortune co-founded a production company named Gracelle Productions with his partner David Olaleye. The production outfit serves as a hub where other creatives and artists can collaborate on projects. It also renders production solutions in diverse capacities.
Last year December, Davido’s bodyguard, Tijani Olamilekan aka TeeJay died after a battle with an illness. In October 2017, the Assurance singer lost three friends to death in one week.
No official statement has been made by Davido and DMW are yet as of the time of filing this report.
