Jerry Isaac Mallo has been trending lately and it is for the most noble reasons. The Plateau state born genius recently unveiled the first cabon fibre sports car manufactured in Nigeria. It is unlike cars made from aluminium and galvanized sheet, the fibre material of the sport car breaks like bottles, thereby does not cave in during accidents.
It comes with four radiators, the car’s cooling system will equally compete with a Ferrari, providing needed comfort no matter the temperature.
In recent years, sad tales of notorious behavior perpetuated by few Nigerians have dented the Image of the country. Success stories such as this change the narrative of how Nigerians are always pushing for the boundaries.
The CEO of Bennie Technologies LTD, Jerry made a huge statement in the automobile industry on November 28, as he unveiled the car named Bennie Purrie. During the launch at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, the 25-year-old said that the sport car is just one of the many marvelous products he will be putting out.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily Mallo said he was inspired to create the Bennie Purrie because Nigeria and Africa as a whole has a large market for luxury vehicles.
“Nigeria is a very big market for luxury vehicles. I got that exposure when I was in Europe, we learnt that making the car is just half of the challenge, and selling it is the other half; Africa is usually is the target place to sell these vehicles, so I feel there’s a big market for it here,” Mallo stated.
“Another reason is we have every resource; we have every material used in manufacturing these products but is not made here. Why? It means there is a need for us to process these raw materials into finished goods.”
“We have a lot of hand-skilled individuals in Nigeria and they are laying wasted… So, I saw it as a challenge… do something practical inclined that will also be a platform for others… to make a living out of it.”
