Seyi Oyefeso experiences a shift in his career days of active banking service, as he has officially been appointed the new Group Executive Director of the commercial banking group at First Bank Nigeria Limited, a leading financial inclusion service provider.

Seyi Oyefeso is an expert in business management and administration, with a very robust banking experience covering risk management, sales & marketing and business strategy. Seyi likes to think of himself as a person driven by strong integrity principles and hard work.

The bank on a statement, added that the appointment, which took effect on Thursday, 2 March 2023 was subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

“Prior to this appointment, the newly appointed Executive Director was the Group Executive, Retail Banking South, having earlier served as the Group Executive, Commercial and Retail Banking (Lagos and West Division). Mr. Oyefeso had also served as the Country Managing Director, FBNBank Ghana Limited.

“Oyefeso joined FirstBank in 2006 as a Branch Manager, serving in one of the top three branches of the Bank. He also held several positions, including Business Development Manager as well as Group Heads within the Retail Banking and Institutional Banking Directorates, “it said
Before this appointment, Seyi Oyefeso served as the country managing Director, FBN Bank Ghana limited, controlling and managing the affairs of the bank since the year 2014.
Seyi began his banking career way back in the 1990’s, he has over 22 years of management experience in banking and financial services industry. It was in 2006 that Seyi joined the First Bank of Nigeria limited and was made the branch manager.
Oluseyi Oyefeso has his career life littered with offices and several positions he has managed, the has improved his skill and intelligences over the years.
If you would rate by experience, Seyi Oyefeso is more than qualified to steer the affairs of the bank with the oversearching responsibility to make significant growth in the assets and net revenue of the company.

Within one year when he served as Group Head in the business of Retail banking west at First Bank he brought a remarkable growth in the business.
The new appointed executive is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a graduate Accounting, also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in Nigeria.
At this point Seyi Oyefeso is not just an appointed executive director but he is see as an asset to the system.
