To mark the 81st birthday of Pastor E. A Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God on 2nd of March 2023, a Biopic was made in his honour by Solid Rock Foundation and Mount Zion film production.

The concept was birthed by Kemi Sodeinde who took permission from Daddy G.O to produce the movie and the story was written by Evang Damilola Mike Bamiloye.

In 2021, the permission was granted and six months research was carried out to know more about the history of Pastor E. Adeboye, after 2 years, the movie produced was 4 hours long and was given to Daddy G.O to review, after watching the movie three times, some scenes were removed and it was reduced to 2 hours playtime.

This movie is the second biopic released by Mount Zion film productions, the first is the train which talked about the life of Damilola Mike Bamiloye, the convener of Mount Zion movies.

The movie captured Pastor E. A Adeboye’s growing up years in Ilesha, his education, family and how he joined RCCG. The movie has over 1.4 million views and counting as at today the 10th of March.

There are teary scenes scattered all over the movie but one scene that stood out was the prayer of Enoch’s mother when he wanted to go to school, it really portrayed the love of a mother.

Another thing to look out for was Ma Foluke’s support and belief in her husband even when things weren’t rosy.

The lead actor Abolaji Adeola who also happens to be a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, embodied the character and accent of Pastor E. A Adeboye.

This movie shows the pain and dilemma the pastor had to go through while serving God, Although the pastor became the General Overseer in 1981, Pastor Josiah Akindayomi Olufemi, his predecessor had always known that he would be the successor from the first day Daddy G.O stepped into the church, from 40 parishes including the head church, the church has over 32,000 parishes in Nigeria alone and is in over 150 countries.
