Now before we talk about skills and high income skills, a skill is the learned ability to perform an action with determined results with good execution often within a given amount of time, energy, or both,
there are different skills

There are skills and there are high income skills .

Almost everyone is learning one or two things in this era

my question to you is what kind of skill would be able to keep you employed even when you haven’t gotten a job to keep up with your bills

You need to learn skills that you can leverage on even without a job.
You need high income skills,

Some examples of High Income skills ,I think you should concentrate on learning are .

1: Software and Web Development

Software and web development applies to all industries, not just IT, technology and gaming. There is business analysis, marketing, and medicine. In our modern world, it’s difficult to find an industry that software and web development has not touched.

Most companies need an app that can help their customers to interface with their products, the lockdown taught alot of companies that they really don’t need to physically present to satisfy the desires of their customers, but not only applications, some have websites where a customer can go to get more information about the products, company, how to go about getting them and purchasing them.

2: Copywriting, Business Writing, Technical Writing

Imagine using your written words to grip the attention of thousands, compelling them to read every word until the last page.
Imagine creating stories, speeches, or handbooks that inspire or teach, or more importantly, change countless lives for the better.

What You Would Do On The Job
(Copywriters)

Prepare advertising copy for publications, online, television, and social media.

Work with clients to develop marketing campaigns.

3: Web Design and Digital Marketing

How important are web designers and digital marketers?

Just imagine wanting to Google some information and finding nothing on the internet. Imagine checking your social media accounts, like Facebook and Instagram and discovering they no longer exist.

A web developer creates attractive and fully functional websites that have an important role in today’s modern world of business.

While a digital Marketer develops marketing strategies ,

Manages ad campaigns and search engine optimization and

Tracks key performance indicators.

4: Teaching, Training or Coaching

This skill set is the overall ability to transfer skills and knowledge effectively to others through training, educating, mentoring, or coaching or one on one sessions.

This is a medium where knowledgeable persons monetize their knowledge for a fee for their time.

5: Public Speaking

Do you have a magnetic personality and a strong voice? Are you good at making people laugh or cry… and most importantly, can you motivate them to take action? Are you an excellent storyteller?

If the answer is yes, then your future could be in public speaking.

6 :Cyber Security

Well someone has to key up us safe from all malware attacks. .

7:Artificial Intelligence.

AI will replace 1.8 million jobs and create 2.3 million. And 83% of companies using AI believe that it is already adding jobs.

I once saw where doctors were using a robot to carry out an operation on a covid patient because there has to be covid regulations also in place and lives had to be saved.

Also they used robots to serve them food in their units, after all robots cannot be infected.

10: Digital Content Creation

Thanks to software developers, digital content creators can excel and create opportunities with brands and influencers.

You might be wondering which of this skills you should concentrate on learning ,

I would advice you take up skills you are good at , start by identifying your soft skills ,it will help you know which skill would be best for you.
