Today I had to run some errands. Took a can going to Rumuokoro.
Decided to stroll to get beyond the flyover construction that is ongoing. Got on a keke (tricycle) to meet up with my Boss.
The man sitting beside me, Didn’t trust me so he wears his facemask properly. I do the same. Trust is reciprocal and earned.
The tricycle finally slows down due to a traffic Jam.

This Man beside me stretches beyond me, I don’t know what he wanted to see.
For almost 5 minutes. He kept stretching, make me uncomfortable, I thought he wanted to call an old friend.
After efforts of trying to reach out to who he wanted to call. He finally settled down back to his place.
He apologized and told me the reason why.
“Na my son I dey try call, I bin see am as in dey trek for this Hot Sun. You know as young people dey do. In fit talk say make in trek go where in wan go as agile person, So I say make I give am tp but in don already enter keke”

I nod and say “Oh, Okay, I understand”
But my mind wandered to my Dad.
You see Fatherhood is beyond giving birth to children. It is being a source, provider, protector and Sustained
You can be a true Father and see your children in want and remove your face.
Evil Fathers give good gifts to their children (Read this again slowly)
I think this was what made David sing the first verse of Psalm 23 so confidently.
The Lord is my Shepherd (Father) I shall not want (lack any good thing)
Words in bracket paraphrased by me.
I remember days when my Father would want to go for his daily routine. He would always ask “So what will you children eat?” (He does this till date)
I’ve seen my Dad sacrifice so much just to put smiles on our faces.
Today is not Father’s day but please do not just read this post.
Celebrate your Dad. With a gift, airtime or even a text.
I’ll call mine after typing sef🤗
So about Fathers, seeing how that man wanted to ease the pain of his son. Even though the Son wasn’t aware that his Dad was watching really got me.
Could this be how God looks at each and every one of us. As we go about our daily activities.
The Other day I was chatting with Princess Ikoko
About this just concluded Fathers day. She mentioned how A husband was also meant to be a Father to his wife.

I kept quiet. Because then I know Fatherhood.
The feeling of always protecting your own, providing for them, making sure they never lack. I know this. My executives know this. I genuinely make sure they are well taken care of. I ask about their well being. This is more than just leadership.
I don’t know the stories that the prodigal son’s Father heard about his Son. But immediately the prodigal son came back, all those stories meant nothing. All he wanted was his Son taken care of and well fed.
Again Fatherhood is more than giving birth to children. It is a state of mind
