Longinus Anyaehiechukwu Anokwute, a comedian and actor from Nigeria known as chief Imo, claimed that his wife became discouraged when he wasn’t successful as an actor.

Chief Imo: Who Is He?

Imo State’s Umuduru, Ekwe, and Isu Local Government Area is where Chief Imo was born on May 19.
He is the youngest member of a family that includes two sisters, four brothers, and him.

He was also brought up by his mother and his deceased older sister.

While Chief Imo started his elementary education at Ekwe Central Primary School, he finished it at the Army School in Gombe State in northern Nigeria. Chief Imo fled the north and returned to his hometown to attend JSS 1 at Ekwe Secondary School for his secondary schooling. Due to financial issues, Chief Imo returned to Gombe and moved in with his older sister to finish his JSS 2 and 3 at Gantu Secondary School. Chief Imo attended All Saints Secondary School in Gombe State for his SS 1–3 levels.

When the older sister who was raising him passed away, he went back home. He returned to his birthplace and resumed his education there, however he had to retake a course because his knowledge of the igbo language was limited.

Chief Imo: How Did He Become An Actor?

At a young age, Chief Imo began performing. He and his theatrical group would perform Bible verses, to the approval of their teacher.

As a result, he created something using his talent.
Since joining the Nollywood entertainment industry in 2000, he has been working tirelessly to see the results of his efforts. He became an actor. He explained how he’d get his coworkers to laugh so hard.

However, his big break came when an Igbo-language film he produced was shown on the video channel “African Magic.”

Later, Chief Imo married, and their relationship has produced offspring.

Ironically, Chief Imo is well recognized for his original Igbo comedies—the same Igbo that forced him to repeat a class.

In the narration of his most recent comedy film, “Village Councilor,” he narrates his experience as a budding actor:

“Everything started when I was in elementary school and extended to secondary school.”

Each time I come out to talk, people would laugh at me. On many occasions, I would end up cracking jokes to a large audience while responding to a question. Gradually, I started building my acting career.”

“When I was coming up, my wife was discouraged because of how rough things were with me.

“At a point, I came to terms with what they were saying, especially when I saw nothing was coming out from the work and no help came from anywhere after releasing my first album”

Chief Imo developed his talent and performed what he could do the best, so his narrative can be an example for others. He didn’t ignore the importance of perseverance, and as a result, he is now a well-respected actor.

He refused to let his critics or his flaws define him, and this helped shape him into the successful person he is today.
