The popular Nigerian content creator and health influencer, Dr Chinonoso Egemba known by his stage name Aproko Doctor recently told his story about his brain tumour.

Aproko doctor is famous for his medical advice.
Through his social media platforms, he has educated individuals over the years on health-related issues and lifestyle changes that can enhance and sustain good health.

Aproko doctor married in June 2020 to Nwakalor Chiamaka also known as Chef Amaka.

He has received many awards in the past for health advocacy in social media.

He also serves as the organization’s executive director, the 100kClub, which provides medical support to Nigerians in need.

Unfortunately, he revealed on Monday morning how he has been fighting for his life and almost became blind as a result of a brain tumour.

In a video captioned

“Throughout December of 2022, I was fighting for my life. I went blind in one eye on the 3rd of December 2022 and on the 5th, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour.”

He said in the video,

“One thing to understand is that health issues can happen to you regardless of who you are including me.

For the past three weeks or two weeks, I have been fighting for my life. Some of you have no idea. It happened that I was diagnosed with Craniopharyngioma which is a brain tumour and I had no idea I would be sharing my story.

Here I am sitting on this seat sharing my own story about how I had a tumour in my brain. It was so bad that I couldn’t read out of my phone anymore to the point where this eye, I couldn’t read with it and it was also closing. They said it is a Craniopharyngioma and we need to do surgery to remove it.”

Many people sympathise with him while others wished him a quick recovery.

In another tweet, he posted a picture of the doctor who operated on him.

According to his tweet, he revealed, he didn’t travel abroad to get his surgery done because he still trusted the country while believing the health factor needs investments to be able to serve its purpose.

He further added,

“Education, health. For me… those are the two systems any nation needs to succeed. I’m dedicating my life to seeing that they succeed in our country Nigeria. I hope you see it too.”

This revelation by Aproko Doctor came as a shock to many people, mainly because while going through all these, there were still videos of him being uploaded in the online space. Unknown to his fans that those were previous videos he had made and edited before his health issue.

So, many believed he was alright.

This should serve as a reason for people to refrain from unwholesome comments and instead be kind to each other as a person does not know what the other person might be going through.
