Although a forum of northern APC governors has pledged their support for the emergence of a southern candidate, some influential persons in the ruling party among who is Senate Chief Whip Orji Uzor Kalu, have settled for Lawan. APC presidential primary: Final results out as Tinubu wins ticket Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the winner of the All progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary, polled 1, 271 votes. He floored all his challengers by a very wide margin. Below are the votes claimed by other aspirants: Vice President Yemi Osinbajo – 235 David Umahi – 38 Tunde Bakare – 0 Ahmed Rufai Sani – 4 Rotimi Amaechi – 316 Emeka Nwajuba – 1 Rochas Okorocha – 0 Yahaya Bello – 47 Tien Jack Rich – 0 Ogbonnaya Onu-1 Lawan – 152 Ikeobasi Mokelu – 0 13 votes were voided in the primary.
