According to human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu who took to his social media accounts to report the case of child abuse and molestation carried out by a couple in Abia State over a child left with them to be the guardian.
Harrison Gwamnishu wrote:
How do you terrorize someone’s child and chained him for weeks? How? The husband and wife are culprits here from Abia State.
The Nigeria Laws on Child Abuse and Child Labor need to be revisited.
I may not have the required resources to handle some of these cases but it won’t stop YOU from helping us advocate an end to some of this barbaric treatment of children.
IF YOU CAN’T TAKE CARE OF CHILDREN AS YOURS, TAKE THEM BACK TO THEIR PARENTS OR DROP THEM AT AN ORPHANAGE HOMES.
