In a recent Twitter post, controversial media personality Solomon Buchi came to the defense of Maraji, who faced criticism for her views on women’s dressing. Maraji had previously voiced her opinion on indecent dressing, asserting that dressing modestly garners more respect and courteous treatment.

While her comments received backlash from some women who labeled her a “pick-me” and accused her of not supporting other women, Solomon Buchi offered his perspective. He emphasized the importance of modesty in Christian faith and argued that certain outfits don’t glorify God. He expressed concern that some Christian women misconstrue the concept of decency.

Solomon Buchi also noted that influential celebrities who promote less modest attire can impact people’s clothing choices. He closed by highlighting the challenge of preaching decency and modesty to modern women, stating that preserving one’s body is an essential aspect of faith.

“Maraji has been called unprintable names by her fellow women because she frowned upon indecent dressing. I’ve seen posts of women calling her a hater, a pick-me, etc.

Fight it, but dressing will never be relative.

There’s a way typical prostitutes dress. Women call certain outfits “ashawo dress” because it gives slutty vibes. Even the Bible validates that harlots look a certain way: “And there a woman met him, With the attire of a harlot, and a crafty heart.” Proverbs 7:10 NKJV.

What scares me is that some Christian women think they can wear whatever they wish to. If decency is just a social construct to control women, why not walk around stark naked, as clothes are even tools of oppression too?

Many of you follow celebrities who wear rubbish, and you let them influence you, a child of God, who should be regenerated.”

It’s worth mentioning that Solomon Buchi had previously addressed gender dynamics, stressing that marriage should not be viewed as men doing women a favor but as a mutual partnership.
