He won $8,539,083.70 in the July 22 LOTTO 6/49 draw.
Apparently, Anokye is still working and doesn’t yet have specific plans for his newfound millions. He’s quoted by OLG as saying he wants to take the time “to find the right partners to help me invest, and I have some wonderful people in my life that I want to share with.”
As is customary these days, Anokye was photographed in a face mask as he held an oversized cheque with his winnings.
Currently, only customers claiming prizes of $1,000 or more are allowed to pick up winnings in-person at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, and they may do so by appointment only.
