Famous Nigerian rapper Olamide Adedeji, simply known as Olamide, has wowed his fans with his incredible Yoruba accent at the just concluded Headies 2022 Awards.

The YBNL boss won the Best Rap Album category beating four others to bag the award.

During his speech presented at the 2022 Headies Awards night, Olamide recognized his crew’s efforts, who had tirelessly worked to achieve the awards. He also appreciated the organizers of the Headies Awards.

While leaving the stage, Olamide notified the audience that he would communicate in the Yoruba dialect as the street was still in charge.

Olamide shared a photo of himself, Asake, and Fireboy on his Twitter page with a challenging caption.

He wrote: Street shi wa in charge.

Olamide’s win at the 2022 Headies Awards broke his long-time record of winning the headies. He won his last headies awards in 2015.

Nigerians reacted to a chart that expressed the impact of Olamide on the career of other famous music artistes.

A chart that made round on social media captured the names of fast-rising music stars and already made music artistes that Olamide’s career had influenced.

The chart includes music artistes such as Zlatan, Naira Marley, T.I Blaze, Bella Shmurda, Portable, Skales, Phyno, Jaido P, Asake, Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy, CDQ, and others.

The chart, compiled by a social media user identified as holuwaroyal, revealed how each artiste claimed that Olamide changed their lives and career.

Fast-rising Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, known as Asake’s epic reaction to Olamide’s influence on his career, sparked reactions online.

An old video that resurfaced online captured the epic moment Asake burst into tears when Olamide jumped on one of his songs and made him a signee under the YBNL record label.

The video also captured an elated Asake running in the streets over his track’s success.

Recalling the mindblowing incident, Asake revealed how one phone call from Olamide changed his career.

He tweeted: One call from @Olamide, and everything changed.
