The Disciplined Life

The Disciplined Life

The disciplined life is far from perfect, and always working towards a sort of perfection. With that said, I want to begin this article with this reality: Perfection is a moment in time captured, not something consistent. Discipline, patience, understanding and tolerance through the good, the bad, and the sweet and sour means everything. Without it, life really is nothing but a consistent frustration that does not end until we do understand and practice fully that understanding.

So, think, what does it take to genuinely have a satisfying life? I think it takes playing the hand properly and fully whatever is dealt to us, even if takes some honest bluffing and genuine “tricky work” with the reality given to genuinely win to our conscious satisfaction without cheating. Nevertheless, using every tool and trick to genuinely win, and if you have “wild card” factors hidden in the mix that genuinely help, all the better.

Indeed, the only real loss in life and existence is not having the thinking that helps you make it to the pinnacle of genuinely winning.

What I mean by genuinely winning is using every honest tool you have including strategy in proper ways without cheating. Doing all the work needed, and going the extra realistic mile to win also even if it takes more at times. When I think of the disciplined life, the only real death is being dishonest with yourself, and I do not mean physical death or destruction. I mean moral reality and emotional understanding or betraying your own moral reality and emotional understanding. When you go against that, you have stepped over a real, but invisible line in life that should not be crossed however desperately you want or need to win. When you win fairly, and honestly, that line is never crossed although there may be some or a lot of extra effort involved to genuinely win.

The Disciplined Life

We all really love to win deep down, and win in a moral way at best. This is genuinely where my concept of the disciplined life comes in, really. Face it, cheating at the deepest levels is emotionally undesirable even if you do “win”. A win tainted with dishonesty is nothing but the deepest loss worse than if you honestly lost with your own pure and honest efforts in reality.

So, that brings me to a point, discipline means never cheating and genuine mastery in that sense unless it is cheating in self-defense to protect yourself from getting hurt by initiatory cheating. Disciplined, alert thinking and action in life is the only real panacea and winning reality though that works for everything. Everything else does not work ultimately, especially initiatory or purposely destructive or sneaky cheating. Honest reality is where it is at, all else is “new postage stamp collection” and foolishness.
