The police in Kenya has arrested a pastor, Makenzie Nthenge, regarding the death of four of his followers he reportedly requested to starve to “meet Jesus

 

The police raided the Shakahola forest near the town of Malindi on Friday, April 14, in the wake of getting reports of “ignorant citizens starving to death under the pretext of meeting Jesus subsequent to being brainwashed by a suspect, Makenzie Nthenge, a pastor of Uplifting news Worldwide Church”

 

During the attack, four of the members were found dead while eleven others were rushed to the hospital. Three of those in the hospital are supposed to be in basic circumstances. The 11 taken to hospital were seven men and four ladies matured somewhere in the range of 17 and 49, the report said.

“The pastor will now be taken to jail after he gave up on the grounds that he realized we were searching for him,” said Charles Kamau, criminal investigations chief of Malindi sub-district.

 

Kamau said the pastor is in custody in front of a court appearance booked for Monday, April 17

Investigators are supposed to proceed with their hunt in the Shakahola forest on Saturday in the midst of reports of a potential mass grave where different followers might have been covered.

 

“It is additionally suspected that there are numerous casualties in the forest land accepted to have a place with the suspect,” the police report said.

Local media reports that Nthenge was arrested and charged last month after two children starved to death in the custody of their folks. He was subsequently released on bail of 100,000 Kenyan shillings ($700).
