The power of Imitation

I was carrying a map like tool when it fell from my hands and was scattered and littered everywhere, I quickly took a copy of the new one and arranged it exactly the way I saw it

I’ve wondered why Paul said imitate me as I imitate Christ, why did he say imitate.

I heard Ejimi say something, when you’re starting new, first imitate and when you have imitated enough, you can innovate.

When I started my LinkedIn optimisation, I didn’t know so much but I loved Peace Itimi so much that I decided to check her LinkedIn profile out and I immediately imitated her and when I had imitated enough, I innovated.

So the sequence is like this

Initiation (Start)
Imitation (Copy)
Innovation (add more)

That’s the fastest way to get by, have you seen a skater holding on to a car to catch up with the car’s speed and when he has rested a while, he puts more energy to the pedals and zooms past the car.

I saw how Peter healed Tabitha aka Dorcas, it was exactly how Jesus raised the daughter of Jairus. when we imitate we unknowingly become. But please when I mention imitation, I’m not necessarily saying that you should copy people word for word or plagiarize them.

Because many people plagiarize others in the name of imitation and that in itself is bad, it takes alot of creativity to start a new idea, become a trendsetter, to be the first to start something beautiful…

Most people aren’t that creative and no, it isn’t a bad thing, because every good thing would be imitated, in the words of the preacher, “there is nothing new under the sun”

Imitation doesn’t mean that you should imitate people’s products but you can imitate process, methods, organogram, systems and structures, mindset, beliefs etc

Hope you found value
