After President Buhari’s speech last night, alot of Nigerians suddenly came up with their new dream, everyone wants to travel out of the country, Now this isn’t strange at all because the average Nigerian uses comedy as a way to cope with the emotional disability that the Country brings, you see the problems of Nigeria can be overwhelming so you need to get yourself a dose of fun and comedy to live by everyday
The President skillfully skipped talking about the killings at the Lekki Tollgate which had made Nigerians realize that their lives might really not be as Valuable and important to their Nation and so they made memes and jokes about traveling out of the country.
Jokes like “tearing the Canadian passport in half to share with others, Finding a foreign sugar daddy, offering themselves as pets, learning how to speak French, Arriving in Canada by mistake, Dreaming of their kids speaking with a Canadian accent”
At least the Canadian government cares about it’s visitors and foreigners more than Nigeria cares about it’s citizen, Let’s not talk about the privilege of having access to travel to over 180 countries including Nigeria once you own a Canadian passport.
But let’s be honest, will this even change anything? If Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, and Martin Luther King thought about running to another nation, would their countries be changed? You see Martin Luther King had a dream, we talk about it alot and it obviously wasn’t leaving America.
By Now is obvious to all that only the citizens of a Nation can change that nation, not UN, Not AU, Not ECOWAS. Only Nigerians can make Nigeria proud again.
Did the Babylonians build Jerusalem? They wouldn’t dare why? Because the more damaged our country is, the more other countries benefit, Who gets the tourist fee, shopping fees, import duties, borrowed Budget, Medical fees, Contracts?
Why would they even want to help us, you see every nation is patriotic to their needs except Nigeria maybe.
So Here’s my Advice to all Nigerian youths, Brace yourselves, cry yourself a river if you need to, You’re going to get yourself a voter’s card, possibly affiliate with a political party, Bend that knee and intercede for this country, Cause we all have the power to vote and we are all going to use it. Maybe they were right about us being lazy but that’s going to end.
IT IS TIME TO MAKE SURE THAT “THE LABOUR OF OUR HEROES PAST NEVER END IN VAIN”
