This woman got my attention. Infact she’s my woman crush for the month.
Dr. Ola Orekunrin is a medical doctor, helicopter pilot and the healthcare entrepreneur founder of Flying Doctors Nigeria , West Africa’s first Air Ambulance Service.
She’s dedicated to bringing trauma care to the most remote parts of Western Africa and her company, an air ambulance service based in Lagos, is doing just that. She was motivated to start the company after her younger sister tragically died whilst traveling in Nigeria as a consequence of their being no medical air service available to transport her to hospital. Ola graduated as a medical doctor from the University Of York in the UK and is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.
So while some ladies are seeking whom to extort from. Some ladies are actually working.
This lady was inspired by her sister’s death. Not her ego, not her feminist idea but her need to fix a problem. And because of this MEN came to honor her, she was given the award Silver bird’s “MAN OF THE YEAR” some years ago
NOTE MAN!!!!! of the year, her achievement broke the barrier between men and women and she was given an award stipulated for MEN. She is the youngest to get this award and the first female to receive it for a decade now.
