BREAKING:
The Judge Behind Nnamdi Kanu’s Life Sentence – Questions, Ethnic Tension, and a Nation in Decline🇳🇬💔💥😠
Justice Omotosho – the man who handed Nnamdi Kanu a life sentence today – has suddenly become one of the most talked-about figures in Nigeria. Born on July 21, 1966, he hails from Ijemo-Abeokuta in Ogun State but was raised in the densely populated streets of Ajegunle.
He studied Economics and Business Management at the Lagos State College of Education before moving on to earn his law degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University. Called to the Bar in 1997 and appointed to the Federal High Court in 2015, he now serves in the Abuja Division.
This same judge has now delivered one of the most controversial rulings in Nigeria’s history – sentencing Nnamdi Kanu to life imprisonment. And Nigerians are divided: Is this justice, or is this a clear reflection of ethnic bias and political manipulation?
The man was kidnapped from Kenya in 2021 under questionable circumstances, dragged back into the country, and thrown into a trial process that many say lacked transparency from day one.
Meanwhile, real terrorists who have ravaged entire communities – murdering, burning, kidnapping, destroying – continue to roam freely without a single meaningful prosecution. But somehow, Nnamdi Kanu, whose crime centers around speeches and broadcasts, gets the harshest punishment possible. How does that make sense in a supposedly democratic nation? This is why so many Nigerians say the system has collapsed completely.
Today’s judgment sends a loud message: Nigeria is drifting into something dangerous – a place where justice is selective, where ethnicity determines punishment, and where the powerful crush whoever challenges them. If terrorists walk free while Kanu gets a life sentence, then what hope remains? The country is losing its soul, and people can feel it.
