The actress, scrip writer, businesswoman and humanitarian, Empress Njamah who announced her engagement, has recently spoken further about her engagement.

Half-Nigerian, half-Cameroonian Empress Njamah previously made her engagement known on Instagram. She uploaded a video on Instagram in which she displayed her fingers and her engagement ring and thanked God and her fiancé for the occasion.

However, Empress Njamah recently debunked her engagement in a video she uploaded while revealing her ordeal in the hands of her estranged fiance.

According to the video, the actress described her supposed fiance as a scammer and fraudster.

The actress of mixed heritage explained how George Wade from Liberia entered her life at a time when she was most vulnerable as a result of her friend’s passing.

Because she was still grieving for her friend, he tried to console her and said he loved her and didn’t want to ever leave her in that state.

George Wade had told her about how his valuables were stolen on his arrival to Nigeria and how he had nothing left. Empress Njamah had compassion for him and gave him a sizable sum of money, which she started to be in millions.

Additionally, he moved in with her in her home, and soon after, he started to reveal his intentions.
In the video she released, the actress said that the actor would beat her up at the smallest mistake and drive her to the hospital by himself to prevent her from notifying anybody else.

Also, he got access to her social media accounts and took control of her phones. Normally, whenever he leaves the house, he locks her inside to prevent any contact with others.

The humanitarian made it known that the viral engagement video uploaded on her Instagram handle was the handwork of this man, he had forced her to make the video while he recorded the video and uploaded it himself.

More importantly, he threatened to leak her nudes to the internet if she dared speak up or quit the relationship.

Lastly, Empress Njamah’s family came to visit her, they had sensed all was not well with her and came to check on her. He beat her up as soon as they left, accusing her of inviting her family.

However, this became the very reason for the actress to act, she escaped from her house and met someone whom she used his phone to call her brother and the rest became history.

Finally, she spoke up about what she’s been through within the last few months, she also said the man has videos and chats of other people, including her colleagues.

All in all, she said she spoke up because it is better to be alive than to be in such mess and also to help others who have encountered such horror to speak too.

As he fled with her belongings after she escaped, she added that she had contacted security services to help identify and pursue the offender.

After this revelation, some of her fans sympathised with her while others blamed her, tagging it ” the desperation to be married led to her misfortune”.
They believe her desperation to get married must have blinded her from scrutinising him before opening her heart to him.

How did someone as exposed as Empress Njamah become a victim of blackmail?
