THE BALANCE OF LIFE

There’s a very funny statement in the bible, Jesus told his disciples that “the poor they will always have with them” (Matthew 26:11)

Now this is a very powerful thing to say, why would we always have the poor with us, well I have studied and found out that even if every Nigerian were to be given 1 million each, after one month majority would still be poor, this seems like an uncomfortable truth but find a way to believe this, even the parable of the talent proves this, let’s not go far even in a classroom the students are all taught the same thing by the same teacher yet there is a last position. I’ll explain why.

Mansa Musa was so wealthy that he gave out so much gold in Egypt that caused an inflation and devalued gold for almost a decade yet there were still poor people in Egypt (funny but true)

All fingers are not equal truly and will never be equal and the Bible puts it this way that “even among stars, there are stars that excel more than the other in glory” (1 Cor 15:41)

There are many reasons for this, some people aren’t ready to put in the work, some people have no interest in that subject (could be wealth, money, school work)

I spoke about how young people are quickly delving into online jobs and forsaking entrepreneurship, professional jobs and apprenticeship, the truth is that not everyone would be an online entrepreneur or even an affiliate marketer, not all will have white collar jobs or even blue collar jobs, some people are meant to make money through writing, porter, cooking, baking, recycling, scavenging and even probably hawking (if they do it right)

In my post (the future of professionalism) I talked about how some people should focus on certain jobs, if everyone becomes an online entrepreneur, who will repair your laptop, who would cook the food you hope to spoil yourself with, who will bake the cake for your birthday, who will build your house (you can tell yourself that you’ll call JB, Julius Berger) but the truth is that according to the rules, every foreign company must have at least 60% of national indigenes in its work force, so Nigerians have to be employed.

This post isn’t directed to the poor but to the fact that not everyone would earn online, however there is a bridge between the poorly and despised jobs and online jobs, a bridge that can get you to the palace.

“Seeth thou a man diligent in his business (any business), he shall stand before Kings…”

Brethren, how diligent are you to your business, do you pay attention to details, to opportunities, to needs of your market, to trends?

There’s this old woman I normally buy roasted yam (Bole) from, she’s partially deaf but I don’t even mind going close to her, pointing at the yam I want and other ingredients to go with it, sometimes I have shout my orders so that she can hear me and whenever she doesn’t come around, I feel pained BECAUSE SHE IS DILIGENT.

You can be a scavenger so diligent that people would want to give you metals and other things to recycle, you mustn’t be dirty before we know that you’re a scavenger. I have a friend who cleans for a living, that lady just bought the latest equipments for cleaning and yes you’ll say isn’t it just using mop and broom. Well no, when you’re diligent about your business, you pay (attention, money and interest)

Don’t feel bad that you’re not techie, it’s not everyone, find your spark own it and guard it jealously. Be diligent in your business because Kings are coming

Remember, it was the little skill of interpreting dreams that brought Daniel and Joseph before Kings
