December, 30th 2021. Naija Ontario Celebrities end of the year Dinner was put together by a few of the celebrities in Toronto like M.C Morris and Actress Emilian Andrew. The event consisted of Celebrities and friends from various departments in the entertainment industry and was held atManhiyah Conventional Centre.
The event was well put together, and Franca Olaitan decorated, De Place catered the delicious food, and mocktails were also served by Dundun Mocktails.
Veteran Lola Alao spoke on being humble no matter where you are, celebrity or not. she also told the entertainers in the room how she started her acting career, and not to look down on anyone.
Mrs. Isoken Ibie who is a Coach, a director, actress, and so much more spoke about unity, she applauded the organizers for putting the event together, and how all the entertainers in our community should come together. She said she was disappointed because the room contained mostly yoruba’s and those from other tribes should have been invited, the organizers said they did send out invitations, but no response. The quote of the day was You do not have to be best friends but work together as colleagues.
M.C Morris tried his best in squashing the long fight between Aunty Lola Alao and Temidayo by having both of them sit in front of the guests and apologize to one another, but wasn’t fruitful. Aunty Lola said her piece and said she doesn’t have anything against Temidayo, that he is like a son and a Lil brother to her and needs to listen to corrections. but Temidayo was telling stories about how aunty Lola has been looking down on him, and eventually not apologising or wanting to accept any apology. Aunty Lola said all that Temidayo said was a lie she does not look down on anyone. Few guests stood up and said they should work out their differences in private as the night was coming to a close. Both Starboy and Aunty Lola walked out before the cake of unity were cut.

A lot of conversations was made about the event to take place twice a year.
The entertainmet industry can do so much better within the Nigerians in Ontario. We hope the vital steps being taken by the few in the industry will be fruitful.
