Marcus Lamb, founder and president of Daystar Television Network, was born October 7, 1957 in Cordele, Georgia and raised in Macon, Georgia. At the age of 15, in the summer of 1973, he began preaching as an evangelist. Upon skipping his senior year of high school in 1974, at the age of 16, Marcus enrolled in Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee on a full scholarship. At age 19, he began his final senior semester at the private liberal arts school and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
In December of 1981, Marcus Lamb founded Word of God Fellowship in Macon. He married Joni Trammell of Greenville, South Carolina in 1982, and she began to travel full time with him as they ministered in more than 20 states. As an evangelist, Marcus quoted so many scriptures in his sermons that many began referring to him as the “Walking Bible.”
While on a trip to Israel in 1983, God spoke to Marcus Lamb and told him to found a Christian television station in Montgomery, Alabama. In 1985, Marcus built WMCF-TV, “45 Alive,” in Montgomery. It was the first Christian TV station in the state, and Marcus was the youngest person in the country to build a full power television station.
In 1990, the Lambs moved to Dallas, Texas, to build KMPX-TV 29. Through a series of miracles and divine favor, TV 29 went on the air full power in September of 1993. Daystar Television Network officially launched in 1997 with a live broadcast of T.D. Jakes’ New Year’s Eve service at the Potter’s House Church in Dallas.
Reaching over 108 million households in the United States and over 2 billion people worldwide, Daystar is the fastest growing faith-based television network in the world. Daystar Television is available on all major satellite and cable systems in the US, and can be seen in every country around the globe. In 2006, Daystar became the first and only Christian television network to be broadcast in the nation of Israel.
Marcus and Joni host a daily TV program, “Marcus and Joni,” that is broadcast live across the nation and around the world. They also minister regularly at various churches around the nation – including America’s largest church, Lakewood Church, with Pastor Joel Osteen and his wife Victoria Osteen
Biased perspectives rise, as the foremost American evangelist is now absent from the body, but present with his Lord.
The CEO and co-founder of the DayStar television Marcus Lamb yielded his ghost on Tuesday 30th of November 2021 at around 4:00 am. According to his wife, Joni Lamb who wanted to tell the world by herself that her dear husband and evangelist has gone to be with his Lord, Jesus.
While the actual cause of Marcus Lamb’s death remains vague, several sources attribute his demise to Covid-19. The reason for this might just be glaring at us, boldfaced.
The 64 years old television superstar evangelist, has been an anti-vaccine and alternative cure frontier, Marcus Lamb has hosted several anti-vaccine activists like; Robert Kennedy Jr., Sherri Tenpenny, Del Bigtree and the Frontline doctors.
At the core of Lamb’s vaccine antagonism is the need to save people as he made efforts to reveal the side effects of the vaccine.
Little wonder why the devil afflicted him, “There’s no doubt in my mind that this is a spiritual attack from the enemy,” his son Jonathan reported.
Joni Lamb, the wife of the evangelist also said that her husband was diabetic as the news of his contraction of coronavirus spread like wildfire with the Daystar television praying for his quick recovery.
It’s not a wonder that Marcus Lamb refused any form of vaccination. His conviction was stronger than his love for life, an adroit and hardcore minister of the gospel.
One of the arrowheads spreading the news of his quackery anti-vaccine broadcast, the LGBT nation. The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender(LGBT) are hitting hard to discredit the ministry of Marcus Lamb due to his adroit stance against LGBT alongside, anti-vax.
Daystar Television was founded in 1997 in Dallas, Texas. He went head-on into active broadcast the same year, referring to Daystar as an outgrowth of what he and Joni had begun seven years earlier. Daystars’ first broadcast featured the renowned televangelist Bishop T.D. Jakes, also based in Dallas.
While Marcus was anti-vax he made the most out of the Paycheck Protection Plan program, funded by federal COVID-19 relief dollars. Running such massive work like Lamb’s, requires massive money.
Scandal treats and news are now cliches to men like Marcus, due to the sensitive nature of his work. He is survived by his wife Joni, his son Jonathan and his daughters Rachael and Rebecca.
With several religious leaders and people sending in their condolences, marking Marcus as an impeccable man. Lamb’s family appeals for some privacy as they go through this season of great loss.
Evangelist Marcus Lamb will be missed, his glistening countenance also. May God comfort his family.
