Most people just jump into reputable people’s inboxes and faces and make a really bad impression of what would have been a great business deal or relationship.

First we must understand that reputable people are normal human beings like us

This may seem like an advantage but it’s also a disadvantage… I’ll explain

As normal human beings we have our Lives to live, we have chores to take care of, so don’t just get into their email or Dm with just “Hi” and wait for them to reply you

I mean the Kind ones will, the Busy ones won’t…

So how can you make a first impression. A mentor of mine once said that “we make first impressions even before we open our mouths”

This has to do with your appearance. “See you looking like a prospect or a suspect”

You have to make an effort to look good (assuming it’s a face to face conversation)

Next is to prepare a good “elevator pitch”

What’s an elevator pitch? It is a powerful QUICK introduction that shows what you do, who you do it for and the value of what you do.. but you have to make it Creative.

Here’s an example

My Name is Ejimi, the profitable investor, Founder of the profitable investor network, creator of the forex flow methodology; the five steps product that shows you how to use forex trading to grow richer so that you can afford to live your best life now while doing what matters most to you with people that matter most to you

But if it isn’t then you need to get a good display picture and make sure that your Grammer and punctuations are in order (After all this is a first impression)

But before you meet them, you must first research about them, what are their likes, and what do they despise.

Do they despise beggars, do they hate incompetence? Do they encourage internship and mentorship?

Have they written books, blogs that you can check out to give a feedback on how you found the writing valuable, and if possible give an intelligent and interesting contribution, some reputable people welcome criticism especially those who are in the Academic field.

You can also find a pain point of theirs, have they been complaining of how stressed they have been towards work and all, recommend a holiday resort,

Do they need more followers, offer to make them a fan page on social media. “He who gives to a reputable person because of their reputation will receive a reputable reward”

You can also create copies for their products, an advert, sales letter, make a portrait.

The wise men who came to see Jesus came with gifts, Queen of Sheba came to see King Solomon bearing gifts.

You can bring a gift along while you come to meet them, preferably an award of excellence (No one rejects an award)

Lastly Tolerance, most times because of their schedule, you might get ignored at first,

Don’t go assuming that they belittled you, be impatiently patient around reputable people. It takes tolerance to be around people.

Sometimes it comes with scolds and reprimands especially when you missed researching before you meet them and you default, but forbear.

Hope you found this valuable, What other ways can people make first impressions…
