According to reports, Megan Thee Stallion was shot in her foot.
Star rapper Megan Thee Stallion has released a statement saying that she suffered a gunshot wound and had to go to the hospital to get surgery.
The incident occurred on Sunday (July 12th) morning when she and when she and Tory Lanez were pulled over, and he was arrested for felony gun charges.
According to TMZ, she was shot in the foot. Although, in her statement, she did not describe where she was shot.
On her Instagram she wrote:
“The narrative that is being reported about Sunday’s morning events are inaccurate and I’d like to set the record straight. On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets.”
She goes on to say that she is “expected to make a full recovery” and that it was “important” to “clarify the details about this traumatic night.”
Megan also adds that she wasn’t arrested and that police were the ones that took her to the hospital.
According to TMZ, police arrived outside of a Hollywood Hills residence at 4:30 AM after getting disturbance call. When the officers arrived, someone fired shots in the air and an SUV took off. When police found the SUV Tory Lanez and Megan were in the vehicle. They searched the SUV and found a gun; Tory was booked for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, which is a felony.
