Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, and David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, responded to news of a combined tour.

Nobody could have predicted the news of a combined tour with both celebrities after their perceived rivalry and superiority over the years.
Even their supporters were taken aback.

When Davido was invited to Wizkid’s December 2017 concert as a special guest, the two rappers exchanged harsh insults.

Since then, the battle over who is the best musician has been joined by the “30 billion Gang” and “Wizkid FC.”

The three renowned musicians engaged in a verbal brawl, which was later joined by Burnaboy and his supporters.

Wizkid made his remark in July 2022, yet it appears that he wants to make peace. He said,

“I want to tell you tonight, Starboy, I got love for Burna Boy, I got love for Davido, and I want to thank all our fans for supporting us.”

Consequently, he further took the peace path when he publicly announced on Instagram on Wednesday,18 January 2023.

He wrote, “After my MLLE tour, David and I are going on tour. Save your coins. I don’t want to hear pim.”

The Internet crashed because many people were shocked and surprised by it. While majority of their admirers were ecstatic, other people did not support them.

When Tunde Ednut made the same announcement, Davido verified it when he liked Tunde’s post about it.

This supported the prior statement Wizkid had made in the public.

Their fans were very vocal over the new development as a result.

Some remarks stated,

Sally Suleiman, “Wizkid and Davido going on a tour is all you need to know that 2023 is a great year for us. 30BG versus Wizkid FC.”

Lordoye1: “Davido and WizKid’s love story is like two lovers that will always find their way back with each other no matter how people and circumstances try to tear them apart.”

Yea_I_am_Him: “But honestly, this will be like a reborn of AfroBeat. It’ll change Nigerian music and kill off toxicity and unnecessary competition. This is Growth, and we deserve to witness it. Thanks, Davido, for accepting to corporate in growing a dying career.”

issySZN: “We don’t want the tour. Wizkid wants to use Davido to revive the dead album.”

Daniel Regha, a media personality said, “Wizkid going on tour with Davido makes absolutely no sense. He’s been snubbing Davido for years and doesn’t address Wizkid FC when they troll, but all of a sudden, he plans a joint tour now that his star power is dropping. Why not with Burna? David shouldn’t accept this. No offence.”

Although opinions on their tour varied from person to person, it appears that the artists had already made up their minds.

However, will their fight for supremacy stop after this tour?
