Rick Warren in his book “Purpose driven life” mentioned how God created us differently, so he doesn’t expect us to worship him exactly the same.
I agree too, but not also worship, why should we function the same.

Reasons for self awareness
- Self awareness helps you to discover your strengths as well as your weaknesses
There are certain things I know I’m not good at, so I don’t bother myself trying them. Things like engineering (yea I’m not proud to say this)
When you know your gifts, you seek the right environment to develop it, there are certain master classes that are not for you honestly,
Certain books you don’t need to buy. And certain adverts that you can come across on Facebook (thanks to the Facebook algorithm)
- Self awareness helps you know your values and standards
When you’ve discovered your self, you place value on things you stand for.
A transport company that knows it’s meant to convey sophisticated and wealthy people dare not choose a car without an air condition system. A restaurant focused on good hygiene doesn’t select it’s ingredients in a haste or prepare it’s meal haphazardly. An organic beverage doesn’t use artificial sweeteners, the list goes on
- Self awareness helps you know where you fit in. Triangular blocks don’t fit into round holes. You save yourself so much cost and stress in the future.
It’s like knowing your shoe size and shoe brand before going to the market. You go to the market and quickly ask for what you want, give me size xx, brand xy. And you don’t waste time trying to find which one that fits or doesn’t.
- Lastly you owe the world your uniqueness,
There are certain Assignments that because of your uniqueness, you’re the only one who can accomplish them
Isn’t it obvious that Paul was better positioned to take the gospel to the gentiles. Armed with the gospel of grace, oratory skills, linguistics (ability to speak different languages) and a Roman citizenship.
A man of God once said that Moses was chosen to write the pentateuch books because he was educated and trained in the house of Pharaoh. Acts 7:22 confirms this too.
