In what seemed like a startling drama, sequel to the episodic chills surrounding her divorce some years ago, the Nollywood thesp shocked her fans, as she coupled her ex-husband’s friend, CEO of ÌbákàTV (an online movie streaming service), Mr Adeoti Kazim, popularly known as Adekaz Productions in the Yorùbá movie industry.
The top Nollywood actress made this known on Sunday, January 23, 2022, while celebrating in advance, the birthday of her new love, Adekaz, who is said to be a friend of her ex, Otunba Lanre Gentry.
Mercy Aigbe revealed that she got married to Adekaz in December, last year, although it was a low-key occasion.
It would be recalled that the estranged couple had settled for a divorce 4 years ago, accompanied by an ireful legal bout, that eventually melted the 7-year matrimony.
While Lanre had accused Mercy of infidelity, she had accused him of domestic violence.
Reacting to Aigbe’s new found love, her ex-hubby, who also remarried sometime September, 2021, maintained God had vindicated him, just as he shared a throwback group photo of himself, Mercy, her current husband, Lanre and his first wife, suggesting there was a long-time close relationship among the four.
“At last I thank God the truth is out this is just one out of many to God be the glory. I don’t need anyone’s comments, please”, Lanre had posted on his Instagram page a couple of days ago.
As expected, there have been mixed reactions on the moral propriety of the actress marrying no other one but her ex-husband’s associate, and not only that, but also as a second wife to the well-known Adeoti’s household.

Spotlighting the whole rhubarb, a Facebook user had posted a picture of Aigbe’s son, delicately placed beside that of her present husband, to show the world the striking semblance, and prayed her ex-husband, Asiwaju Lanre, opt for paternity test.
